Chapter Three: The MoonGate

...

Before we begin our tale, it is important that we discuss the life of a young Suki Warrior, or at least what we know of it, and their connection to the mysterious folk that dwell at the MoonGate.

Legend says a Suki Warrior was bred from birth to become the ultimate Warrior. Both physically and mentally unbreakable. A young Suki Warrior trains vigorous hours, hunting bears to practice their skills, both hand-to-hand combat and magic.

Their life was spent undergoing rigorous daily training under the watchful eye of the Secret Suki Society in preparation for their passage into adult hood: the journey to the MoonGate.

The Secret Suki Society was comprised of the most elite of the Suki Warriors. Their word was law in Kindan and only the wisest and strongest of the Suki were invited to join their ranks. The Secret Suki Society would have to bestow their blessing on a young Suki Warrior before they were permitted to make their journey to the MoonGate.

The path to the MoonGate was treacherous, with many embarking never to return. But, nonetheless, the journey was necessary. The MoonGate was said to be home to a mysterious folk who's skin, a pale blue, glimmered under the light of the seven moons that circle Nozomi. Their name had long faded into history, but their power remained intertwined with the Suki and their ability to tame the Monsters of Nozomi.
